We don't waste in my household so fridge cleanout Fridays are a must. This is my untraditional take on a kimchi stew, perfect for those rainy San Francisco winters.

Ingredients (10)

Instructions

  1. Add sliced zucchini (½), mushrooms (5), green onion (1), kimchi (1 cup), gochujang (1 Tbsp), water/broth (1 ½ cups), and sesame oil (1 tsp) to a pot and bring to a boil.

  2. After 5 minutes, stir in gochujang (1 Tbsp) and soy sauce (1 Tbsp).

  3. Add your glutinous rice balls (¼ cup) to a pot of boiling water until they float, then strain and add the balls directly to the soup.

  4. Garnish soup with green onions and a drizzle of sesame oil (1 tsp) (optional).
